The government has confirmed that student loan interest rates will remain at 7.3% from September 2022.
Normally, interest increases in line with inflation, but the current rate would have seen student loan rates rise to 12%. Confirmation on interest rates is usually made in August, but this decision has been brought forward which appears to have been taken to provide reassurance for student loan borrowers on Plan 2 (undergraduate) and Plan 3 (Postgraduate) loans.
